Customer Service Advisor – Insurance Career Opportunity

Bolton | £24,479 | Monday–Friday | 35 Hours

Are you an experienced Customer Service professional looking to build a long-term career rather than move between front-line roles?

Were recruiting a Customer Service Advisor to join our growing insurance team in Bolton. The successful candidate will be trained and developed into a Claims Advisor, managing household property insurance claims from start to finish.

This is an opportunity to step into a professional insurance role with structured training and clear progression.

The Role – Claims Advisor (Full Training Provided)

As a Claims Advisor, you will:

  • Take first notification of loss calls from policyholders

  • Deliver professional, high-quality customer service throughout the claim

  • Assess policy cover and validate claims (training provided)

  • Gather supporting documentation and information

  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers

  • Manage your own caseload from first notification through to settlement

  • Keep customers updated and resolve queries efficiently

This is not a scripted call centre position. Youll take ownership of claims and develop technical knowledge over time.

What Were Looking For

  • Minimum 12 months experience in a Customer Service role

  • A confident and professional telephone manner

  • Strong listening skills and attention to detail

  • Organised and comfortable managing multiple tasks

  • Competent using different systems

  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)

You do not need previous insurance experience. What matters is your customer service approach and willingness to learn.
